The festival's name originated from the initials of "Guro" and "global" to represent its identity and maximize the synergy of both.

This year's festival is held with the theme of "Diverse Asian Cultures, New Encounters". It intends to help Guro residents and Asian citizens to understand each other through cultural experiences and give them the chance to communicate with one another and feel a sense of unity.
